Tank Volume

Use the SCADASuite Tank Manager application to get transaction data, volume changes, and daily production from your tank's instrumentation. Different tank geometries are easily supported. Up to 4 independent tanks are supported by the application.

Tank Geometry
The SCADASuite Tank Manager application supports the following tank shapes.
  • Vertical Cylinder
  • Horizontal Cylinder
  • Vertical Capsule
  • Horizontal Capsule
  • Rectangle
  • Vertical Oval
  • Horizontal Oval
Level
The Tank Manager can convert the level in your tank into a volume. Transactions can be started automatically, when the tank volume changes by some large amount, or manually, via operator control. Transactions can be stopped automatically, when the tank volume change falls below some threshold, on a time out, or manually, via operator control.

Daily production can also be inferred by accumulating only the increase in volume over each contract day.
Flow Meter
The SCADASuite Tank Manager application can accumulate the volume from a flow meter and generate transactions from the change in flow. Transactions can be started automatically, when the flow rate is above is some value, or manually, via operator control. Transactions can be stopped automatically, when the flow rate falls below some value, or manually via operator control.
Status Information
For each tank, the application calculates the following information and exports it to Modbus registers.
  • Calculated maximum volume based on the tank geometry.
  • Current tank volume.
  • Average level for the last minute and for the last hour.
  • Average volume for the last minute and the last hour.
  • Level change over the last minute and the last hour.
  • Volume change over the last minute and the last hour.
  • Total volume increase today and yesterday.
  • Total volume decrease today and yesterday.
  • Current transaction type, if a transaction is underway.
  • Current transaction start time, end time, duration, starting level, ending level, starting volume, ending volume and actual transaction volume.
  • Last transaction type.
  • Last transaction start time, end time, duration, starting level, ending level, starting volume, ending volume and actual transaction volume.
